We will never look at our Civil War history the same way turned one of the ordinary leaders into a hero in our eyes. Too bad we don't have such outspoken people in leadership roles today. Thanks for a very interesting and enlightening presentation.

We very much enjoyed Doug and Terri's presentation this afternoon at the NC History Center. "I Will Not Submit to the Swindle: General D.H. Hill in North Carolina in 1863." It is told from Hill's perspective, this living history program uses letters and correspondence to illuminate the frustration and personal loss between the general and his wife, Isabella. If you missed this afternoon, they will be doing the presentation in Goldsboro on Thursday, March 14th, 7pm at the Wayne County Museum.

Lee-Jackson Weekend in Lexington, Virginia was quite a success and I enjoyed learning more about DH Hill. Your performance at the symposium was very informative and although I was somewhat familiar with DH Hill you left me just alittle more curious about the man behind Stonewall. Best wishes - the parade straggler.

Hello Mr. Batson, I wanted to say thank you for making such a wonderful day possible....We came to the Antietam Battlefield without tickets, and you took care of us! I don't think I've had such a great time on this furlough! I am sorry we didn't get to say goodbye. We realised we were going to be late for the service and had to run! In Christ, Katelyn
